Earth’s Natural Wonders tells the stories of some of our planet’s most spectacular places and how they have shaped the lives of those who live there.
Many of Earth’s natural wonders are among the world’s most inhospitable environments and the two-part series presents the unique challenges for the inhabitants and how they overcome them with the ingenuity and bravery needed to make a living.
Shadow created over 20 mins of CG animation to show how many of these wonders were created, along with the geological forces that are still at work shaping them today.

Approximately 10,000 years ago, dam collapse caused the giant lakes of the Utah, Colorado and New Mexico border region to vent into the river valley, carving the canyon that we see today.
