DINOSAUR GALLERY

PREHISTORIC LANDSACPE RECONSTRUCTION

CLIENT: NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM LONDON

Nestling amongst the creatures in the world-renowned 'Dinosaur Gallery' at the Natural History Museum, resides three interactive installations.

Visitors will be able to discover the world in which dinosaurs lived, and how it changed during these times, including the movement of continents, the weather, and the plants and animals around them.

A major part of the installations, are HD screens, for which Shadow was asked to implement the design and technical output of 3D landscapes, depicting the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods.

Working alongside the Museum's scientists, three HD animated sequences were created. These 'Eco-Systems' constructed in 'Vue' include over forty plant species.

To further enhance the experience, six dinosaurs were created in Maya 3D, to wander through the habitats.
