BMW MOTORSPORT DTM 360 VIDEO

We been playing a lot here with various 360 panoramic and stereoscopic workflows over the last year. Some have to stay under wraps, but this one I can share.

This test for Shell / BMW, uses Google's new Youtube 360 video option to run in any browser that supports it. Youtube seem to be aiming at the current crop of cheap consumer 360 video cameras for Vloggers, but this technology really works well with CG.

If you have an up-to-date Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer this should work by default. Apple hasn't implemented support for 360 video yet (why?). So if you use Safari, or don't have a up-to-date browser you'll just see a bendy mess...

Shuttle Hanger VFX Breakdown

We're going to use the R&D pages to post work that doesn't neatly fit into the other sections around the site. So this is probably a good place to start. This test shot was created for a BBC film project about the Shuttle disaster.
